Panda Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Bamboo Tree

There is no noise in this Bamboo Tree scroll, only signal. The overall impression is one of cultivated calm. It has the poise of a well-kept secret. There is character in every part of it.

The image is brushed in ink and color on silk and finished as a classic hanging scroll. The Panda is handled with the relaxed precision of long practice. The fine detailing is modest in scale but generous in effect. The balanced composition is rooted in observation, full of small truths. In the language of Chinese art, the panda speaks of gentle, good-natured charm.

For symbolic Chinese artwork, it fits the way ink fits paper, naturally. For symbolic Chinese artwork, few things beat the warmth of real brushwork. In short, this Bamboo Tree scroll is easy to live with and hard to tire of. Framed simply, it lets the artwork speak entirely for itself. It hangs flat and reads well from across the room as well as up close.
