Dog Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Pumpkins Pekingese

The brushwork in this Pumpkins Pekingese scroll stays with you after you look away. Nothing about it will feel dated five years from now. It is the kind of piece visitors remember. The piece feels grounded and quietly assured.

It is painted in ink and mineral color on silk, then mounted as a traditional hanging scroll. The broader washes never overwhelm the gourds. Notice how the butterflies sit against the open background, nothing wasted. Each Dog is given its own weight in the composition. Hanging a butterflies was once shorthand for wishing a household joy and marital harmony.

It earns its place in traditional Chinese painting for home decor by being interesting without being loud. As a piece of traditional Chinese painting for home decor, it is the kind of gift people keep for decades. Taken together, this Pumpkins Pekingese scroll offers calm, craft, and culture in a single frame of attention.
